Rhythm Heaven: Groove

Rhythm Heaven series returns with its first new entry in eleven years, coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2026!

Virtual Game Card

Starting in late April, Nintendo will roll out a new feature called “Virtual Game Cards” for the Switch. Think of it like a way to treat your digital games like physical ones. Instead of just having your digital games in your library, they’ll show up as “Virtual Game Cards” on a special screen, where you can “load” or “eject” them just like a real cartridge.

Here’s the cool part: You’ll be able to lend your digital games to other Switch users. You can do this wirelessly by connecting to another Switch nearby. But, you can only lend one game at a time for up to two weeks. After two weeks, the game will automatically return to your console, and any save progress you made stays saved.

It’s like sharing a game with a friend, but all done digitally and for a limited time. This will also work on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo Power?

To close out the Nintendo Direct, Miyamoto appeared with the announcement of a new app, Nintendo Today. The app is designed to keep fans in the loop on news with Nintendo, because of how well the Nintendo Direct format has done.
