Kazutaka Kodaka, the creator behind The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy, shared his thoughts on the release of the game’s demo:

“The demo version of The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy is finally out, starting with Steam. The Switch version will follow soon after. Although it’s just a demo, I believe it offers quite a bit of gameplay, so take your time and enjoy it. I’m exhausted after completing the game, so I don’t have the energy to write much more here. This is my final statement as a game creator, and I hope you’ll find it stylish and definitive. I look forward to your reactions.”

Kotaro Uchikoshi also reflected on the game’s extensive development timeline:

“The story of The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy spans 100 days. But, considering the pre-scenario phase, the total production time is much longer—over a thousand days, to be exact. After enduring all the hardships over those thousand days, we are finally able to present the demo version to you. This work is the result of a team of experienced creators who persevered through countless challenges. We’re confident you’ll enjoy the glimpse of it in this demo. Especially for those who aren’t fans of battle mechanics in ADV games, we believe this will hook you. Once you play, you’ll understand what we mean by ‘hundredfold’ fun. We hope you’ll play this demo a hundred times and eagerly await the fully completed version!”
